Prevents buildup and reduces contaminants

Depending on where you live, the water in your tap will have a certain level of mineral desposits. Hard water areas have the highest levels of calcium and magnesium, which leaves a chalky buildup called limescale on appliances. Place a water filter in the water tank of your home espresso machine to avoid build-up and reduce contaminants like carbon, chlorine, particulates, and lead, which can affect the taste of your beverage.

Clean water from the tap? Check!

Water is the main ingredient in your espresso. Tick water quality off your checklist by screwing a water filter in the tank to allow the fully automatic espresso machine to perform at its best. That's all you need — bottled or mineral water is not suitable for the KitchenAid espresso machines.

Simply change your filter every few months

Your replaceable water filter will keep the water filtrated. You'll need to change it roughly every 2 months (when about 50 L of water has been used). It fits securely in place and can be positioned with the spoon (filter mounting aid) that comes included with your machine.
